The three largest Tyrolean public races in cross-country skiing - Dolomitenlauf, Ganghoferlauf and Galtür Nordic Volumes - are joining forces and launching the "Tirol³ Nordic Challenge". This new partnership aims to promote popular sport in Tyrol and offers participants unique benefits and exciting challenges.
The "Tirol³ Nordic Challenge" is more than just a series of competitions. It is aimed at all enthusiastic cross-country skiers who want to take on a special challenge. Those who take part in at least one competition of the respective public races in a season benefit from attractive discounts and receive awards that are not linked to top performances, but to participation and successful completion of the races. The events will take place on the following dates in 2025:
Attractive rewards for all participants
Participation in the "Tirol³ Nordic Challenge" is honoured with discounts and awards. Every participant who registers for at least one competition per public race in a season receives a 10% discount on the total entry fee. In addition, there are medals and certificates in the gold, silver and bronze categories depending on the distance covered. These not only reward sporting endeavour, but also promote the participants' loyalty to the region.
Exclusive prizes for individuals and teams
In addition to the individual awards, participants and teams have the chance to win valuable prizes. Regional vouchers will be raffled off in the gold category, while the most hard-working team will be rewarded with an exclusive weekend in one of the three regions. This "training camp" not only offers the opportunity to prepare for the next season, but also to strengthen the team's sense of community and sporting performance. The winning team will be honoured at the Galtür Nordic Volumes Award Ceremony.
Cup classification: competitive character for the fastest
For the most ambitious athletes, the "Tirol³ Nordic Challenge" offers a special cup classification that rewards the performances of the fastest participants. Here, the fastest athletes are honoured based on their results in the individual races. The ranking is based on a special method: the best time of the day in a race is multiplied by a maximum number of points and then divided by the athlete's own time. This creates a ranking list that honours the best performances. The ten best women and men in the cup ranking will be invited to the "Award Ceremony of the Tirol³ Nordic Cup 2025" at the Galtür Nordic Volumes, where they will be honoured with medals and certificates for their outstanding achievements.
