Due to a blocking high-pressure system over northeastern Europe, Atlantic lows are currently unable to move directly eastward and thus in our direction. These are being diverted to the Mediterranean region, where they occasionally have a marginal influence on the weather. As a result, periods of southerly foehn winds will continue to alternate with temporary disturbances. During the night of Thursday, a disturbance will bring a little precipitation, which will then subside on Thursday as heavy cloud cover will persist. The snow line will be around 1000 meters above sea level, or slightly below. There will be a pleasant mix of dense cloud fields and intermittent sunshine from Friday to Sunday. Most of the sunshine is expected on Sunday. The wind will then turn clearly to the south again at the beginning of the new week. The foehn will become stronger, but the sun will still be able to hold its own for the time being.
