Friday will be dominated by a high-pressure system and very dry air masses. The high will treat us to plenty of sunshine and partly cloudless skies. After a cool start, summer-like warmth will return—at least in some areas—in the afternoon. On Saturday, it will remain sunny for longer, and the foehn-like southerly wind will bring even warmer temperatures. It won’t be until the second half of the day that warm, moist air masses gradually move in. What does that mean? Clouds will increase, and especially toward evening, the first showers or thunderstorms are possible in some areas. An Atlantic front will then bring a noticeable cooling on Sunday, with occasional thunderstorms and downpours. The weather will remain changeable and cool on Monday as well. After that, stable midsummer weather is expected to return over the course of the new week as a high-pressure system moves in.
