A low-pressure system continues to linger over the British Isles, and this low will steer the next Atlantic front towards Central Europe on Thursday. The influence of the temporary high will thus gradually diminish again. For the time being, however, the sun will still shine frequently, and temperatures will reach late summer levels thanks to a southerly foehn wind. Only in the late afternoon and evening will showery air reach us from the west. As the Atlantic front will pass through on Friday, the weather and temperatures will take another significant dip. It is still unclear how quickly the front will move eastward. There are likely to be more sunny spells and clearer skies by Friday afternoon. A new high will then build up over the weekend, bringing calmer, friendlier and warmer weather. However, it remains to be seen whether the stable late summer weather will continue into the beginning of next week.
