Although the weather is set to remain slightly changeable for a few more days, there will nevertheless be a significant change in the weather over the Easter period. With the persistent strong northerly flow, a weak cold front will pass over us during the night leading into Friday, though this is likely to bring only light, insignificant snowfall along the northern edge of the Alps. On Friday itself, we’ll start the day with some lingering clouds at night, which will quickly clear as the day progresses. During the night leading into Saturday, the clouds of a warm front will pass over us, marking the start of a significant and sustained rise in temperature. The lingering clouds from this warm front will still be with us, particularly on Saturday morning. Over time, however, the sun will return to the sky. Over Easter and beyond, there will only be harmless clouds joining the sunshine. These will mark a further rise in temperature, with the frost line potentially rising to around 3000 meters above sea level.
