However, in the unstable air mass, cumulus clouds will form again during the day, and a few thunderstorms are possible. These could be severe locally, bringing heavy downpours and strong gusts of wind. A storm front will move across our region on Wednesday. It will bring heavy downpours in some areas, isolated thunderstorms, and noticeably cooler air. The heat wave will thus finally be a thing of the past. In the second half of the week, the outlying edge of the Azores High will once again influence the weather in our area. It’s still difficult to predict how successful it will be. However, the sun should shine at least at times, and temperatures will be more pleasant than they have been recently.
