A high-pressure system over the central Mediterranean region extends up to the Alps. Between this high-pressure area and an Atlantic low, we will remain under a slightly föhn-like southwesterly airflow through Monday. This brings seasonally warm, yet dry air masses to our region. The sun will continue to make a strong appearance, although high cloud fields will still indicate significant upper-level warming. By Monday, the freezing level will rise to around 3500 meters above sea level. On Tuesday, a weak cold front will reach us. This will result in slightly unsettled weather conditions but is unlikely to bring significant precipitation. Behind the front, somewhat cooler air will seep in. At the same time, high-pressure influence will increase on Wednesday, leading to temporarily calm late-autumn weather with only a few harmless clouds mixing with the sun.
