The Silvretta Ferwall March in Galtür has been a unique hiking experience in the Tyrolean Alps for over 50 years. This event attracts nature lovers from all over the world to discover the diversity of the Silvretta region. There are a variety of routes to suit both beginners and experienced hikers. The routes range from easy and family friendly to demanding trails for those looking for a challenge. Participants can experience the breathtaking alpine scenery, including picturesque alpine meadows and majestic peaks, as well as the local flora and fauna. The Silvretta Ferwall Hike combines nature experiences with personal adventures and creates lasting memories.

  • Start: Dorfplatz Galtür
  • Registration start: 1st December 2025

  • 5:00 am: Free shuttle transfer from See to the start area
  • 6:00 – 9:00 am: race start at Dorfplatz for: Silvretta, Ferwall und Marathon Route
  • 9:00 – 11:00 am: race start at Dorfplatz for: Family Route
  • from 1:00 pm: Sports and Culture Centre: Live music
  • from 2:00 pm: Sports and Culture Centre: Experience Club children’s programme with face painting
  • 5:30 pm: race closes
  • until 6:00 pm: Sports and Culture Centre: medal handout
  • approx. 6:00 pm: Sports and Culture Centre: award ceremony for individual hikers and teams, plus honouring of the oldest participants.
  • Afterwards: get-together with live music

Dogs are allowed on all routes, but we would like to point out that dogs must be kept on a lead on all routes.

At the refreshment points along the routes, you can regularly replenish your energy reserves and treat yourself to delicious local specialties. From hearty "Marend" (snacks) to sweet treats, these seven stations offer culinary delights that will make your hike an unforgettable experience.
