New Diasbahn cable car
2025 will bring an exciting new development for the Kappl ski area: the Bergbahnen Kappl company will replace the old Diasbahn gondola lift with an ultra-modern Doppelmayr gondola lift, which was previously used at the 2023 Federal Horticultural Show in Mannheim. This new installation promises a combination of state-of-the-art technology and first-class comfort - tailored to the needs of guests in summer and winter.
A technical upgrade for Kappl
The new gondola lift sets a benchmark in terms of comfort and efficiency. With 41 cabins, each offering space for ten people, the installation ensures fast and smooth transport for guests. This significantly reduces waiting times, especially on busy days.
The cable car's innovative technology not only promises an optimal ride experience, but also reliable performance - whether transporting skiers in winter or hikers in summer. For guests, this means a significant improvement in the offer and greater convenience for every visit.
Conserving resources through reuse
By taking over the gondola lift from Mannheim, the Bergbahnen Kappl company is setting an example for sustainable action. Instead of building a new installation, the existing gondola lift was carefully dismantled, inspected and prepared for use in Tyrol. This resource-conserving approach saves material and energy.
