Ischgl Silvrettabahn - Ischgl Silvrettabahn, 21.30 km, 318 m
Description
An easy tour in the valley area, ideal for a warm-up or family excursion. The route follows the valley circuit to Mathon (page 18) and continues on in the same direction into the valley and to the town of Galtür. Switching between asphalt paths and forest roads, the route always follows the sunny side of the valley through some typical Alpine meadows and fields and briefly through a forest. The last section above Galtür passes through some particularly unique landscapes. Following an old overgrown forest path with a trail-like character, you are treated to sensational views of the glaciated giant peaks of the Jamtal valley above the town. At the end of the town, you follow a downhill section to the valley cycle path which runs alone the Trisanna river back to Ischgl. Tip: if you have a bit of spare time, pay a visit to the unique Alpinarium museum experience.
