Intro
The Paznaun Ischgl Ultra Trail (PIUT) is an exciting trail running event in the Austrian Alps that offers participants a variety of challenges.
Description
The pro Challenge is the longest route of the PIUT. It starts in See and leads over 85 km and 5,200 metres in altitude to Kappl and Galtür to the finish in Ischgl. The route runs along stages 1, 2, 7 and 4 of the Paznaun High Route and passes prominent points such as the Ascher Hütte, the Alpe Gamperthun, the Niederelbehütte, the Rauher Kopf and the Berglisee before finishing in Ischgl. This challenge is aimed at the most experienced trail runners and offers a combination of extreme climbs, technical passages and breathtaking views of the alpine surroundings.
Arrival
The autoroute (A12 (westbound) or A14 (eastbound)) leads you to the Arlbergschnellstraße (S 16). At the exit for Pians, turn onto the Paznauntalstraße (B 188) and follow its course into the Paznaun.

Public transport
With the railway station in Landeck, the Paznaun is optimally connected to the Austrian train network. From Landeck-Zams station, only a short bus ride separates you from the Paznaun. Every half hour, line bus 260 runs from there through the valley. Bus stop: Silvrettabahn
