The hike starts at the valley station in Kappl and first takes the cable car up to Dias. From there, the trail runs along the high trail in the direction of Seßlad, past the Obere Seßladalpe to the Niederelbehütte lodge. This section is signposted as a moderately difficult, red-marked mountain trail and offers varied landscapes with an alpine character. After a possible stop at the Niederelbehütte lodge, the trail continues to the Seßladjöchli. The more challenging section of the tour begins here. The further ascent to the Seßladspitze is via a black-marked mountain trail that requires surefootedness and alpine experience.
With the railway station in Landeck, the Paznaun is optimally connected to the Austrian train network. From Landeck-Zams station, only a short bus ride separates you from the Paznaun. Every half hour, line bus 260 runs from there through the valley. Bus stop: Kappl Bergbahn
