The tour starts in the centre of Galtür at the tourist office. First you ride your bike along the Paznauntal road and change to the opposite side of the stream at Hotel Ballunspitze. The road initially runs along the Trisanna and later along the Zeinisbach up to the Alpine Inn Zeinisjoch. Here you will find a bike depot where you can safely park your mountain bike. The alpine inn, which is already in the federal province of Vorarlberg, is also perfect for a snack with a view of the bright blue lake. Afterwards, you walk along a beautiful hiking trail past the Zeinissee lake towards the Verbella Alpe (1,938 m). The idyllically situated alpine pasture is also a good place to stop for a break in the midst of picturesque nature. From here follow the trail over the Jöchli to the Versalspitz (2,462 m).
Info: The summit is located in the Verwall European nature reserve and offers a breathtaking view of the mountains of the Rätikon, Verwall and Silvretta mountain groups as well as the Kops reservoir.
Mountain biking is only permitted between 15 June and 15 October, from 7.00 am to 8.00 pm, on the marked routes. On the Silbertal–Tirol route (Alpe Giesla to Silbertaler Winterjöchle), the time restriction applies from 15 June to 15 September. Mountain biking is prohibited in the Wiegensee European Protected Area and on all unmarked roads and paths.
