At the start of the week there is absolutely no sign of improvement or more settled conditions. We remain under the influence of a dynamic westerly-type weather pattern. As a result, troughs in the form of squadrons of rain showers will head our way in quick succession. Brighter interludes are largely short-lived and only start getting more frequent throughout Tuesday. No big rise in the temperatures is expected. By midweek (Wednesday), conditions will temporarily turn much friendlier and warmer. A ridge of high-pressure will become noticeable. Conditions on the public holiday (Ascension Day) will dampen the positive trend once again. After that setback, things will start looking up towards the weekend. A ridge of the Azores High will be extending its influence towards our region.
