How’s the weather?
In the run-up to a cold front that will cross us from the northwest on Wednesday, low air pressure contrasts and greater lability will prevail in the Alpine region. This means that the April weather will continue on Tuesday. Clouds will dominate and when the sun will come out, it will immediately stimulate the formation of cumulus clouds, in the wake of which isolated showers may form again from the northern edge of the Alps. On Wednesday, some precipitation will increasingly mix into the weather with heavier cloud cover during the course of the day. The snow line will be around 1600m above sea level. Thursday and Friday will bring a marked interim improvement. Clouds will be more frequent on Thursday, but Friday promises bright sunshine all day. At the same time, temperatures will temporarily rise again. Towards the weekend, new disturbances are expected from the northwest, although the models are still divided on the detailed effects.
