In the Johann Strauss Year 2025, classic New Year’s concert favorites are a must—but the program also promises plenty of surprises beyond the traditional waltz. A broad musical spectrum, ranging from Rossini, Lumbye, and Ravel to Pembaur, Price, and Márquez, ensures a richly varied concert. Special attention will once again be given to composers celebrating significant anniversaries.

The Italian singer Sonia Prina will perform as the vocal soloist, presenting beloved chansons. Concertmaster Janusz Nykiel will take the spotlight as a violin soloist in Vittorio Monti's Czardas.
