We are currently under the influence of a strong high-pressure system centered over southern Scandinavia. Combined with a foehn southerly wind, this means we can expect predominantly sunny weather on Friday. Late summer will really kick into gear as the day progresses. The weekend will also bring mostly dry and often pleasant high-pressure weather. The high-pressure influence will continue for now. However, at the beginning of the new week, the weather will start to become more dynamic. Wind and clouds will increase significantly on Monday, and by Tuesday, a disturbance front will likely pass through. This expected change in weather will naturally be accompanied by falling temperatures. How strong the cooling will be is still uncertain.
